Surprise!!

Last weekend we through Mary Ann a surprise retirement/65^th birthday party. I got my house good and clean  (with the help of some lovely young ladies)  This is something that doesn't seem possible anymore.

                        We all had a blast and was she ever surprised?!!

               

She was shaking the entire night. I think she was touched by all of the love but it really through her for a loop. I am not sure she could handle it again. The evening gave me a chance to look around at all the people that I love and love me. I am very blessed and so grateful. I made several friends a couple of months ago at a event downtown and they were both there. Two new friends that I already treasure. I love my life!

Can You Write With A Pill?

Several weeks ago, when Sana had been with us a short time, she came into to my room and said "Mom I need pain".  We had just been to the doctor and talked about pain control.  I told her to let me know whenever she was in pain so we could keep it under control.  So I thought "good girl".  She was doing exactly as I had asked.  I gave her 2 advils, she moaned and took them.  When she was done she said "Mom I still need pain".  I said "What?"  She said "I need pain, I want to write in my journal".  Opps... I guess she meant pen.  Needless to say she didn't have writers cramp that day. 

It was a rough weekend, I need to remember these adorable times.
